On Thursday morning, shortly after arriving at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, President Muhammadu Buhari performed Umrah rituals under heavy security.
Several officials, including a delegation from the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and staff from the Nigerian Embassy, greeted the President, according to a statement made by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.
President Buhari had previously visited and prayed at the Prophet’s Mosque a day earlier in the second Holy City of Madina.
On Tuesday, he began an eight-day official visitation in the Kingdom.
