The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Vice Chairman (North-East), Comrade Saliu Mustapha, announced on Wednesday that Salihu Lukman, the party’s National Vice Chairman (North-West), will withdraw his lawsuit against the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.

Lukman had asked Adamu to call a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) to discuss the party’s finances, but Adamu did not.

As a result, Lukman filed a lawsuit last Thursday.

In a letter to Adamu, the National Legal Adviser, Ahmad El-Marzuq, suggested that Lukman be expelled.

Following a four-hour National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Wednesday, Mustapha stated that Lukman agreed to write an apology letter and withdraw the lawsuit.

Mustapha emphasized that party business should be handled through proper channels rather than in public.

After the meeting, he told reporters, “We are able to reach a resolution that this suit is going to be withdrawn unconditionally and that he has rendered his or her apology for any seeming embarrassment that this suit may have caused.”

The meeting focused on the zoning of principal offices in the 10th National Assembly, which will be inaugurated in June 2023, as well as the party’s crisis following the general elections.
