Prince Julius Obelikpeyah, a PDP leader in Delta State’s Warri South Local Government Area, has promised that the state’s incoming governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will end kidnapping and other forms of insecurity.

While expressing his joy over the release of kidnapped human rights lawyer Dr. Akpo Mudiaga-Odje from his captors, Obelikpeyah, a Warri-based industrialist, told reporters that his conviction in that regard comes from the fact that “the Governor-elect is a dogged fighter who fought against kidnapping and other security matters in the administration of former Governor James Ibori”.

I can assure you that when Rt Hon Oborevwori becomes governor of Delta State on May 29, 2023, tough times are in store for kidnappers and criminals in Delta State.

“He will take the fight to kidnappers and other criminals in the state,” he said.

The Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s inauguration is scheduled for tomorrow, and Obelikpeyah told reporters in his Oborevwori Campaign Office that his organization is planning an all-night prayer vigil for the occasion. He also said that the organization will host party supporters and well-wishers after the inauguration.

“So that they can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he urged the Delta State populace, “to extend the love and support they had for the outgoing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to Oborevwori.”
