According to the United States of America, none of its citizens were harmed in the Anambra attack on its Consulate staff convoy on Tuesday.
According to reports, on Tuesday, a vehicle attack in the Ogbaru Local Government Area of the state of Anambra resulted in the shooting deaths of four embassy employees.
According to the information gathered, embassy officials on a humanitarian mission in the state were traveling in a convoy when they came under fire.
John Kirby, the spokesperson for the US National Security Council, revealed this.
I recently learned a lot before coming out here to talk to you all, Kirby said. It appears as though a US convoy vehicle was attacked.
“What I can tell you is that there were no US citizens injured and that no US citizens were involved. However, we are aware of some fatalities and possibly some casualties.
No US citizen was in the convoy, according to a statement from Tobechukwu Ikenga, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer.
“Following a Tuesday attack on a convoy of US Consulate staff along Atani, Osamale Road, the Joint Security Forces have launched a rescue and recovery operation in Ogbaru LGA.
“The thugs burned their bodies and vehicles after killing two PMF operatives and two consulate employees. Additionally, the murderers and arsonists kidnapped two police officers, the driver of the second vehicle, and fled when they saw the responding joint security forces. There was no American in the convoy, he claimed.
