The state executive council has been disbanded by Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers State.
After a special executive meeting on Thursday night in Government House, Port Harcourt, Wike declared the dissolution.
The commissioners had already praised the governor in turn for his significant contributions to the state.
The dissolution was verified over the phone to our correspondent by the governor’s communications adviser, Kelvin Ebiri.
