Betta Edu, the national women leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that Nigerians will beg President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to seek a second term.

This was said by Edu in an interview with Channels Television on Thursday.

Tinubu, she says, is fully prepared to “hit the ground running” as soon as he takes office.

Tinubu, according to the APC national women’s leader, will focus on the “low points” of President Muhammadu Buhari’s exiting administration.
“I bet on anything, Nigerians will beg Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in four years,” Edu stated.

“The first thing we must recognize is that Nigeria is still a work in progress.” Listening to President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech tonight at the state banquet hall, it is apparent that he has waged a good fight.

“He stated that he is handing over Nigeria to someone he believes will carry on from where he left off and do better.”

Tinubu, according to Edu, has a well documented set of programmes that would be carried out during his first 60 days in office.

“If you know Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he is a deep thinker and doer,” she remarked. One who is exceptionally good at assessing and strategizing.

“I can boldly tell you for free that Tinubu has clearly laid out the next 60 days — what he hopes to do, what he hopes to achieve, at what point and where.”He is completely aware of the task at hand. He is completely prepared. He wants to get started right away.”
