As President Bola Tinubu takes office, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo has issued 13 demands to him.

Tinubu was sworn in as President of Nigeria on Monday at Eagles Square in Abuja.

However, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, stated that Tinubu should allow Igbos to benefit from his economic policies.

Isiguzoro also urged the president to ensure that the railway line connecting Port Harcourt and Maiduguri is operational.

“The free market trade and postulations show that Igbos, who are primarily traders, will benefit from his economic policies,” Isiguzoro said.

“What Ndigbos expect at the moment is that he should look at the rail lines that run from Port Harcourt to Maiduguri in terms of transportation.”

“He should inspect the seaports to ensure that there are no economic leakages.”

“Tinubu should choose well-tested technocrats over corrupt politicians, and he must ensure that those who form the next government are not the same people who got Nigeria into this mess.”

“Tinubu should not resurrect old politicians based on political party affiliation.”

“The government of national unity is an antidote to those who are attempting to overturn his electoral victory in court.”

“He should look beyond the APC and recruit technocrats from the PDP, LP, and NNPP.”

“Tinubu must ensure that his government has no Islamization agenda.” Nigerians are concerned about the possibility of a Muslim president and vice president, as well as a Muslim Senate President and Speaker.

“This is why we believe Akpabio will be elected Senate President.” We are aware of his distinguished record as a governor. Regardless of the allegations, Akpabio is the better choice to balance the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

“Ndigbo is concerned about the economic aspects of his administration, and we will continue to support him in the same way that we did when he was governor of Lagos State.”
