President Bola Tinubu has been advised not to appoint any former governors to his cabinet by Engineer Kailani Muhammad, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He believed that all of the former governors who were hanging around President Tinubu, especially those who fought against local government autonomy, should be removed.

He also urged the president to fire any former senators and ministers who had served under a previous administration but had underperformed.

In order to garner support for former governor Abdulaziz Yari as the 10th Senate President, Khailani, who serves as the National Chairman of the Tinubu Support Network and the Director-General of the Amalgamated of APC group, spoke to reporters.

“Those lobbyists are bad people, and we don’t want to see them on stage again. This crop of individuals has consistently been used. He said, “Let the President bring new people who have not stolen.”

Yari is not just a candidate from the NorthWest, the region that gave the APC the highest number of votes in the 2023 election, Kailani claimed when discussing the Senate presidential race.

As a former member of the House of Representatives and the governor of Zamfara State, Yari, in his opinion, was one of the most dependable APC members.

Engineer Kailani stated regarding subsidies, “This is the right decision because the previous administration shifted it. The evil day has been put off. The time has come for this nation to compete on an international level.

He argued that Nigeria should benefit from profits from oil sales as an OPEC member and use them to advance infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, and other areas.

He claimed that removing subsidies would boost competition and cause prices to decline.
