The command also turned over to the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency 70 packs of Tramadol, 359 sacks of Diazepam, and 104 parcels of Indian hemp that were found in two different operations.

The Customs Area Controller in the state, Dr. Ben Oramalugo, said the briefing was focused on the anti-smuggling activities of the command in the previous four weeks while handing over the seized items to the state Commandant of the NDLEA.

He claimed that on June 11, 2023, the command’s officers conducted a stop and search along Kamba-Kyanagakwai Road on a vehicle with the chassis number IHGRC3KEA246069 and discovered 104 parcels of cannabis sativa inside. This was done as a result of a tip-off from a kind citizen about a vehicle carrying offensive goods.
