Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, begged Nyesom Wike, his predecessor, not to avoid him even if he switched sides in the political debate.

Fubara made this statement during Wike’s Thanksgiving celebration on Sunday at his home on Ada-George Road.

Please don’t be too far away from me since I know that the sharks and the tigers are really around looking for something to injure, even though we are seeing indicators that it seems like you want to cross to the other side with everyone hoping that.

Fubara explained, “So, staying here would continue to lead and put my head straight for the objective of this state.

His appeal comes amid speculation that Wike would defect from the PDP and join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In place of Atiku Abubakar, Wike opted to back Bola Tinubu of the APC, who was subsequently declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
