President Bola Tinubu’s recent appointment of new service chiefs, according to Yoruba Elite in Politics, is proof that he is not motivated by bias based on race or religion.

The group praised the president for making the appointment across all of the country’s geopolitical regions but emphasised that Tinubu’s action is proof of his dedication to fighting crime and ensuring that peace prevails throughout the country.

All of the service chiefs were retired by the President on Monday, and he also named their successors.

Olaposi Oginni, national chairman of the group, responded by saying that the appointment demonstrates that President Tinubu is prepared to use all of the nation’s resources to combat insecurity and economic sabotage.

Oginni pointed out that the appointment demonstrated Tinubu’s commitment to advancing everyone’s interests and his good intentions for the nation.

“Tinubu had made a daring step towards national reconciliation,” he said. Tinubu is keeping his promise to give us a better Nigeria, as can be seen by looking at the backgrounds of the new service chiefs that the president has appointed.

“President Tinubu has pledged to bring the nation together, and by making this appointment, we can see that he is dedicated to disproving everyone’s claims that he is a bigot of any particular religion or race.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s determination to unite the country is clearly demonstrated by this appointment. A nation that had never been so divided was what he inherited. However, Mr. President has so far inspired hope in Nigerians that positive things are ahead.

Additionally, Oginni applauded the selection of Major General Taoreed Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff, Kayode Egbetokun as Interim Inspector General of Police, and Adeniyi Adewale as Interim Comptroller General of Customs.

He exhorted the recently chosen service chiefs to support the president in the struggle “against terrorism, kidnapping, and other criminal activities that have threatened the existence of the country.”

He continued, “We know the president’s appointees are competent, but we’re using this opportunity to encourage the Yorubas among them to be committed and dedicated to serving the nation.

“They ought to be able to show the world that they are truly capable of providing security for our beloved country. They must take initiative in carrying out their main duties.
