The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained a man named Stephen Acheme Akpa in connection with an alleged land fraud scheme over N500,000,000.

On December 2, 2022, the Commission made its initial arrest of Akpa, the CEO of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited, at his workplace in Abuja’s Idu axis.

This comes after a petition that said he used deception to obtain N500,000,000.

The suspect jumped the administrative bail provided by the Commission, according to the EFCC, which stated in a statement that he was set to be arraigned on a five count charge.

Up until his rearrest on August 9, 2023, all attempts to capture him were unsuccessful, the EFCC continued.

He is anticipated to show up in court once the inquiry is over.
