Tribunal: Enemies of Kano planning to steal people’s mandate — Islamic cleric

Dr. Sani Ashir, an Islamic cleric in Kano, has claimed that some state enemies are attempting to sway the governorship tribunal’s decision in favor of the opposition All Progressives Congress, or APC.

In order to ask Allah for help in the current difficulties plaguing the nation, the Kano State government organized a special prayer session, which was led by Mr. Ashir.

The state governor, Abba Yusuf, the deputy governor, Aminu Abdulsalam, the founder of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, and other officials attended the two-unit prayer on Saturday at Filin Mahaha in Kano.

After the prayer, Mr. Ashir prayed, “Ya Allah! The enemies of the people are plotting and conspiring to overthrow our leaders.” defeat the populace’s adversaries.

He claimed that Kano’s adversaries were determined to take the people’s mandate “through the back door.”

“Ya Allah, wherever they are, destroy the adversaries of Kano state. Ya Allah, the state’s adversaries are there attempting to smuggle the people’s mandate out through a back door.

“Ya Allah befuddles them and vanquishes them. Establish a lasting peace in our State, Ya Allah. Allah bless our shops and our educational institutions, the Imam said.

Mr. Ashir praised the administration and noted that it had done well in the state in less than 100 days.

“We came together today to thank Allah (SWT) for maintaining the safety of our neighborhoods, our state, and our nation.

We give Allah (SWT) praise for His mercies. We give Him thanks for the benefits of a good rainy season, the business growth our state has seen recently, and the emergence of prosperity in our state over the past three months.

“In Kano state today, we are fortunate to have leaders who have begun transforming the state’s landscape. In every region of the state, pipe-borne water has begun to gushe.

“The streetlights are back on. Infrastructural upgrades are being made to hospitals. It is being renovated in schools. The most vulnerable members of our communities are receiving aid and support. The mass nuptial of widows and divorcees, known as Auren Zawarawa, is well underway.

“One thousand and one graduates will be chosen to travel abroad in September to pursue higher degrees.

“Kano state is covering the registration costs for over 7,000 Bayero University, Kano, underprivileged students. Our roads are currently being repaired. Our streets are losing their trash dumps.

“This administration registered more than 57,000 students for NECO at a cost of about N1.3 billion. We have gathered in this location to pray for our state and national authorities.

“Oh Allah, here are our leaders, our elected leaders, whom You have blessed us with,” the Imam continued.
