Dr Nwambu Gabriel, the group’s leader, stated this while briefing journalists in Abuja.

Gabriel stated that the vote of confidence placed on Gbajabiamila was in response to an outburst in some quarters accusing Gbajabiamila of bias in the appointment of ministers and other key government officials.

He stated that it is critical for Nigerians to dismiss the untruth about Gbajabiamila, adding that the chief of staff is well experienced and competent of carrying out his job.

“Gbajabiamila has come under acerbic attack from certain political actors who are spreading falsehood against him simply because they did not make the ministerial and other lists.”

“They are blaming him for their inability to hold appointive office at the moment, despite the fact that it is the President, acting in consultation with the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), governors, and other key stakeholders in the polity, who appointed ministers and board chairmen.”

“These people don’t care that positions come at the appointed time and that clearly, no one can be a minister at the same time,” he remarked.

Gbajabiamila, he remarked, was a bridge builder par excellence, a force for competence and honesty, and a people-centered legislator.

“Let us allow Gbajabiamila to do his job in peace; casting unnecessary aspersions on him will not cut it, and it is too early to seek to derail the Tinubu-led administration with blatant falsehood,” he said.
