Breaking: Nigerian Appeal Court Confirms Tribunal Will Deliver Judgement On Peter Obi, Atiku’s Petitions Wednesday, Announces Live Broadcast Of Ruling

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will rule on petitions contesting Bola Tinubu’s election victory, according to official confirmation from Nigeria’s Court of Appeal.

The court also said that interested television stations will be able to broadcast verdicts live.

It was earlier on Monday reported that the PEPT in Abuja has scheduled September 6 for the delivery of its ruling on petitions contesting President Tinubu’s election.

According to a May ProbitasNews report, the Tribunal combined the petitions submitted by the various political parties while delivering the trial schedule and the pre-hearing report on the case.

In order to give the verdicts on the same day as Peter Obi of the Labour Party, it also reserved judgement on the petitions submitted by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The following petitions are currently being heard by the Presidential Election Petition Court: CA/PEPC/03/2023 between Mr. Peter Gregory Obi & Anor VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 3 Ors; CA/PEPC/04/2023 between Allied Peoples Movement VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 4 Ors; and CA/PEPC/05/2023 between Abubakar Atiku & Anor.
