Abubakar Musa was given a 17-month prison term by a Shari’a court in Gama PRP Kano State on Tuesday for stealing two cell phones worth 165,000.00.
Theft and unauthorized entry into a home are allegedly committed by Atlanta resident Abubakar Musa.
Aliyu Abidin Murtala, the prosecutor, read the charges against him in front of the court, and he entered a plea of guilty.
He claimed the man broke into the home while the owner was asleep at night and took two cell phones worth 256 000 naira (165,000.00).
The court agreed to the prosecutor’s request that it weigh the evidence before making its decision.
