Former President Bola Tinubu’s media assistant Bayo Onanuga has attacked followers of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and LP presidential candidate Peter Obi over their positions on the president’s certificate.
Onanuga claimed that by focusing on Tinubu’s attendance at Chicago State University, the followers of Atiku and Obi are chasing ghosts and wasting their time.
He insisted that Tinubu’s admission to Chicago State University and his 1979 graduation remain true.
In response, Onanuga shared documents on Twitter that purported to be from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) proving Tinubu never attended Chicago State University.
In a tweet, he stated: “Atiku and Peter Obi supporters are chasing shadows and wasting time disputing President Tinubu’s enrollment at Chicago State University. The indisputable fact is that he enrolled at the institution and received his degree in 1979. Even in 1999, I was aware that this was the case.
As the chief editor of my publication, I went to the institution and obtained the first attestation letter regarding Tinubu’s graduation from the registrar.
“Your confusion and malice are evident in the document you uploaded with great pleasure on the right. It is the University of Chicago, not CSU, that is discussed. Could you and your group kindly give President Tinubu some space to breathe so that he can do the important task of leading the country?
