With immediate effect, the heads of 21 parastatals, agencies, and government corporations under the FCT Administration have been removed of their appointments by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike.
In a press conference held in Abuja on Wednesday, Mr. Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press for the Minister’s Office, made this declaration.
Ogunleye determined which agency heads were impacted and listed them as follows:
1. Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director, Abuja Investment Company Ltd.
2. Executive Officer/Head of Abuja Markets Management Ltd.
3. Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company’s MD/CEO
4. Abuja Property Development Company’s CEO/MD
Five. CEO/MD, Free Trade Zone Company of Abuja Technology Village
6. Abuja Film Village International’s CEO/MD
7. Powernoth AICL Equipment Leasing Company Ltd.’s CEO/MD
8. MD, Broadcasting Corporation of Abuja
9. Abuja Enterprise Agency’s MD
10. The FCT Water Board’s general manager
11. FCT Emergency Management Agency’s Director-General
12. FCT Primary Healthcare Board Executive Secretary
Hospital Management Board, DG
14. Abuja Environmental Protection Board Director
15. FCT Scholarship Board Director
16. FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Director
17. Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Director
18. Abuja Infrastructure Investment Centre Coordinator
19. FCT Health Insurance Scheme Director
20. Department of Satellite Towns Development Coordinator
21. Abuja Metropolitan Management Council Coordinator
The press director advised the impacted appointees to turn over control of their offices to the highest ranking officers.
In due course, he said, appointments would be made in the offices.
