On Monday, the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal declared Governor Abdullahi Sule’s win invalid.
When Emmanuel Ombudagu of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, delivered the verdict by Zoom, the three-member panel headed by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi declared him the winner.

One judge disagreed with the other two justices’ assessment that the PDP had won the election.
The petitioner proved his case beyond a reasonable doubt, according to Ezekiel.
Other political figures in attendance at the court included former governors Abdullahi Adamu and Tanko Al-makura, as previously reported by ProbitasNews.
Recall that Abdullahi Sule was proclaimed the victor of the Nasarawa State gubernatorial election in March by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lafia.
The APC candidate received 347,209 votes overall, more than double the number of votes cast for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, David Ombugadu, who received 283, 016 votes, according to Prof. Ishaya Tanko, the INEC returning officer.
