Between September and October 3, 2023, ten alleged kidnappers were detained, according to the Kaduna State Police Command.
At a press conference on Saturday, ASP Mansir Hassan, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, made this announcement.
He stated that three AK-47 weapons, three fake 10-round revolvers, 448 rounds of live 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, another cache of 15 rounds of live 7.62 x 39mm ammunition, and a car with the license plate Ebonyi HKW578AA had all been found by Command personnel.

“Since it is everyone’s responsibility to keep communities safe, we strive for a strong police-public collaboration in the ongoing battle against criminal elements. Our triumphs are not without the reassurance of our unwavering devotion to our statutory obligation.
“The Command is cognizant of the security issues plaguing the state, including but not limited to banditry, abduction, robbery, and conflicts between farmers and herders.
The relative calm that the state’s law-abiding inhabitants are presently enjoying, he added, is the result of tremendous efforts that were not spared in handling the undesirable situation.
He claims that the state’s peaceful security environment is the result of the tactical and strategic use of both people and material resources, as well as the deliberate cooperation of the security architecture.
He stated that the suspects were undergoing questioning and will face charges in court once the investigations were concluded.
The police commissioner, Mr. Musa Garba, was praised by the spokesperson for his courage and commitment to duty among the officers and men of the Command.
The CP issued a warning to lawbreakers to avoid the state and reiterated the Police’s commitment to defending people and property.
