On Monday, the suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi, who assassinated Lagos-based lawyer Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, was sentenced to death by hanging by the Lagos High Court, which was seated in Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island.
The ASP was sentenced by Justice Ibironke Harrison after he was found guilty of killing the expectant lawyer.
Harrison determined that there was no reasonable doubt in the prosecution’s case.
The judge also ruled that the dead was shot at close range by the guilty party.
