Adamawa Police Command detain two alleged kidnappers

In the state’s Jada Local Government Area (LGA), the Adamawa Police Command has detained two alleged kidnappers.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, revealed this in a statement released on Tuesday in Yola.

According to Nguroje, the suspects were detained on August 17 by the command in Kojoli, Jada LGA’s intelligence department.

 

“The suspects are Kojoli residents Abdullahi Iya, 20, and Barkindo Yahaya, 19.

The statement said, “They were apprehended after they called and threatened to kill or abduct Halilu Bello and Abubakar Hammayero unless they paid a ransom of N10 million.

Nguroje claimed that CP Babatola Afolabi, the police commissioner, had ordered a tactful and thorough pursuit of the perpetrators.

Afolabi urged everyone to practise security awareness and notify the police immediately of any security risks.
