Afeez Gbadamosi, 38, was charged by the Lagos State Government on Tuesday with sexually abusing his two little boys, who are three and seven years old. The charges were brought before the Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence court.
The state is pursuing four charges of indecent behavior and sexual assault against Gbadamosi.
According to state prosecutor Abimbola Abolade, the crime happened somewhere in 2021–2022, she informed the court.
According to her, the molestation happened in Lagos State’s Ikorodu neighborhood, specifically in the Agric neighborhood of Iyanamuda.
Abolade reported that the defendant had put his finger in the boys’ anus and sexually abused them to Justice Abiola Sholadoye.
Moreover, she claimed that Gbadamosi forced them to witness him engage in sexual activity with his spouse and indecently groped their genitalia and buttocks.
Sections 261 and 264 of Lagos State’s 2015 Criminal Law were broken, according to the prosecutor.
In response to the accusations, the defendant did not enter a guilty plea.
Attorney O.O. Oladipupo, representing the defendant, asked the judge to set a liberal bail amount for her client.
Before adjourning the case, however, Justice Sholadoye issued an order remanding the defendant to the Ikoyi Custodial Center till he could perfect his bail conditions.
Her decision was to postpone the trial until November 20, 2023.
