The pre-hearing of the petition filed against Nigeria’s President-elect Asiwaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has been postponed until Friday, May 19, by the Presidential Election Petition Court. The Labour Party and Peter Obi are the petition’s plaintiffs.
The date was set by the court under the leadership of Justice Haruna Tsammani after the parties involved in the petition were unable, among other things, to reach an agreement on the documents.
According to The Nation, on Wednesday at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, officials of the two factions of the Labour Party clashed, which led to the escalation of the already tense atmosphere.
