On Sunday morning, irate youths shut down Radio Nigeria, Amuludun FM 99.1 in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
According to a Metro source, the young people surrounded the station and attempted to take control of the programme.
Our correspondent’s research discovered that the stern-looking security guards have disarmed and driven them from the station.
The radio station, which broadcast exclusively in Yoruba, started broadcasting on October 22, 2007, at J&P Bus-stop, Moniya in Ibadan, Akinyele Local Government Area of the state. It was founded on October 10, 2007.
