Since David Parradang, a former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, was discovered dead in the Joy House Hotel on Tuesday, immigration officers have been stationed outside the hotel’s entrance in the Garki District of Abuja.
In Abuja, armed officers were observed keeping a careful eye on those entering and leaving the hotel, which is close to the Area 3 intersection.

A reporter was questioned by a gate security officer before being allowed admission, and hotel representatives chose not to comment on the event.
Superintendent Josephine Adeh, the spokesman for the FCT police command, had earlier confirmed the development in a statement released on Tuesday.

Parradang drove a black Mercedes Benz and arrived at the hotel on Monday at noon, according to the statement.

A female guest was escorted to his room by hotel workers after he allegedly paid ₦22,000 for it. Parradang stayed inside, but the woman subsequently fled.

The FCT command’s police source told Daily Trust that the event is still being investigated and promised to keep the public informed of any noteworthy discoveries.
