Nnajiofor Nweke, the father of a teacher at Alihami Secondary School in Agbor, Ika North East Local Government Area, Delta State, is being held by the Delta State Police Command on suspicion of her murder.
Following a disciplinary action against the suspect’s son for allegedly stealing palm wine, the regrettable incident happened on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
The suspect’s son, DSP Bright Edafe, and other students allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine from a nearby store, according to a spokesman for the Delta State Police Command.
The students involved were identified and a punitive action, including corporal punishment, was taken after this incident was quickly reported to the school administration.
After finding out about his child’s disciplinary actions, the suspect went to the school with a cane in hand and began spanking the teachers.
During the attack, one of the teachers passed away from collapse.
