National Identity Management Commission will be used by the Federal Government to invest in the harmonisation of the nation’s data, according to Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who also announced that the country will shortly phase out numerous ID registrations.

Speaking on Monday in Abuja, Tunji-Ojo stated that the nation needed a tech-driven data centre under the ministry. The delegation was visiting with the MTN management team, which was led by CEO Karl Toriola.

“We need an internal hub, a sizable data center where we will store all of the documentation pertaining to our identities.
