Mrs. Blessing Ajiboye, the wife of a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has been abducted; her captors have demanded N100 million from her family as ransom to free her.
That Blessing, the wife of Senior Pastor Johnson Ajiboye of the RCCG, was kidnapped at around 9 p.m. on Thursday in her supply store in Elerinjare, a sleepy town in the Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state.
About seven unidentified gunmen invaded the neighbourhood and began shooting randomly before kidnapping the pastor’s wife.
Additionally, it was learned that the woman was kidnapped along with her two shop employees, who have since been released.
However, a community leader revealed that the kidnappers had contacted the family on Friday night and requested a ransom of N100 million.
The kidnappers asked the pastor’s family to bring N100m on Friday night in order to secure the release of the woman, according to the most recent information, he said.
“I wonder how they anticipated the pastor would acquire such wealth. Even the local community would struggle to raise such a significant sum.
The pastor described what happened, claiming that the shooters emerged from the nearby bush next to the Community Primary School.
“The shooters didn’t touch or take any cash. My wife, Blessing Ajiboye, 34, was only taken into custody after the baby was freed from the baby strapped to her back. They threw the infant to the ground, he claimed.
