NDA seeks NYSC’s partnership on staff training

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has received a proposal from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, regarding the requirement for staff training in emotional intelligence.

The motion was delivered to the Director General of NYSC at the Scheme’s National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, according to a press release from Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations of NYSC.

Dr. Ben J. Audu, Director of NDA’s Centre for Study of Leadership and Complex Military Operations, who made the motion’s presentation, stated that training is required due to the workplace’s evolving challenges in managing human resources.

He urged NYSC to adopt the concept because doing so will increase worker productivity.
Responding, the Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed welcomed the proposal, stating that the training is a sure way of enhancing the capacity of staff to carry out their duties more efficiently.

He, therefore, directed the Planning, Research, and Statistics department and the team from NDA to work out modalities for commencing the training.
