Niger Delta minister reiterates commitment to serving region

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the Niger Delta Development Minister, Abubakar Momoh, reaffirmed his commitment to upholding stability in the nation’s oil-rich region.

In addition to congratulating Delta and Edo states on their 32nd anniversary of creation, the minister urged the residents of the two states to consider the difficulties they have faced and the successes they have attained over the years.

“Today is a significant turning point in the history of our cherished region as we commemorate the 32nd anniversary of the separation of the former Bendel State into the states of Delta and Edo. This event is significant because it not only remembers our shared journey but also illustrates how strong our unity is and the potential for future growth.

“On behalf of the Niger Delta Development Minister, I would like to send my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the amazing citizens of the Delta and Edo states. This anniversary gives us a chance to think back on the steps we have taken, the difficulties we have faced, and the goals we have for the future of our states.
