The Kwara State Polytechnic’s two female students who were detained in relation to the purported murder of Adeniyi Ojo have explained their motivations.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday during their procession led by Force Public Relations officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in Abuja, one of the suspects, Adanma Joseph, described their interactions with the deceased.
She claimed that they tried to rob the deceased, who had stated that she and her friend Favour Vandora Davies intended to have sex.
When asked how she first got to know the deceased, Adanma revealed that she worked in his clubhouse for roughly three months in 2022 before the government closed it, which is when their relationship started.
The suspect claimed that after the deceased asked to have sex with her, she enlisted her friend in the attempt to pilfer from him.
She claims that the original plan was to entice him into having sex with them in his car on the pretext that they would discover money inside.
She did, however, add that they finally arrived at a room where they tied the dead while feigning to have a BDSM s€x and that they covered his mouth with a pillow when he tried to scream.
She claims that when they left with his phone, they were unaware of the man’s death and believed him to be just acting asleep.
Nonetheless, the suspects apologised for what they had done.
