Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, has returned from his business trip to France.

The two-term governor of Lagos State arrived in his private jet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at around 2.15pm, where he was greeted by party members, supporters, and some governors.

His vice-president-elect, senator Kashim Shettima, governor Abdullahi Ganduje, senator Ahmad Lawan, and senator Godswill Akpabio, the chosen candidate of the ruling party for the position of Senate president in the 10th Assembly, were all part of the delegation.

Tinubu, who was wearing a blue “Babariga” and his signature cap, was joined by his wife, Senator Oluremi, who was also dressed in a blue outfit.

In order to avoid unnecessary pressures and distractions while he continues to fine-tune his transition plans and policy options with some of his key advisers, the president-elect left Nigeria.

According to a press release from his media adviser, Tunde Rahman, the President-elect would also use his visit to meet with potential investors and other important allies in order to promote investment opportunities in the nation.

Before leaving on the journey, Tinubu met with Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu, the APC’s nominees for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The president, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari, and other dignitaries are anticipated to attend the official opening of the Dangote Refinery complex in his home state on Monday along with the former governor of Lagos.
