The Senate’s Deputy Chief Whip, Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, has denied allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member of the Kogi Central Sena, accused Senate Akpabio of sexual harassment.
In an interview with Arise News on Monday, the Ebonyi North Senator alleged that Senator Natasha had made similar claims against former Governor Yahaya Bello and other individuals.
According to the All Progressives Congress (APC) legislator, the Kogi Central Senator’s accusation was an attempt to defame the Senate President.
“The point we are attempting to make here is that this is a complete lie. This is an effort to defame the Senate President. This is not the first time. Give me some time. This isn’t the first time the woman has done this. This is a woman who has accused Yahaya Bello of sexual harassment. This is the same woman who has accused Reno Omokri, Jonathan’s former media adviser, of sexual misconduct. This is the woman I saw on camera yesterday accusing a minister of sexual harassment. Is Senator Natasha the only woman in Nigeria? What’s wrong with you? Nwaebonyi inquired.

The Senate Deputy Chief Whip noted that the repeated complaints of sexual harassment may dissuade women from entering politics.
“Nigerian women should protest it. Let me share something with you. Senator Natasha is jeopardizing the chances of Nigerian women seeking political office,” he continued.
