The Lagos State Parks Management Committee, which is chaired by Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has organized some thugs to be on the ready in the event that President Bola Tinubu is not given a favorable verdict by the Presidential Election Tribunal.
The Lagos State Parks Management Committee members are among the thugs that MC Oluomo sent to Abuja.
In a video clip that was obtained, MC Oluomo and other people can be seen waiting in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) office in Abuja for the Tribunal’s ruling on the petitions filed to overturn Tinubu’s designation as the election’s victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to reports, none of the three presidential contenders engaged in a legal battle before the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja—Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC)—were present when the tribunal delivered its decision on Wednesday.
A sizable crowd of litigants, attorneys, and other interested parties have descended on the court ahead of the Presidential Election Petitions Court’s (PEPC) scheduled Wednesday morning final ruling on the petitions submitted in opposition to Tinubu’s election.
Vice President Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Ganduje, Governors Hope Uzodinma and Yahaya Bello of Imo and Kogi states, as well as other members of the ruling party, were all in the courtroom.
Umar Damagun, the PDP’s acting national chairman, and Abure represented the opposition.
It was also reported in March that MC Oluomo had warned Igbo citizens to stay at home on Saturday during the governorship election in Lagos if they did not want to support the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
An online video of a Tinubu supporter urging their Igbo neighbors not to bother going to the polls on election day if they intended to vote for candidates other than the ruling party’s flagbearers demonstrated this.
In the meantime, MC Oluomo has openly claimed that Tinubu is his owner.
In an Instagram post from October 2018, MC Oluomo claimed that Tinubu controlled him and the APC and that he would support whatever Tinubu desired.
“I am an Asiwaju Bola Ahmend Tinubu Jagaban loyalist, I wear the Jagaban jersey, I’ve been a loyalist since 1999, the first mecca I went is through his execellence in the year 2000, moreso, he as done alot for me, he made me who i am today our relationship has been very cordial and strong in the area that I grew up in,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Because he owns the party and I support him wherever his interests are, I am one of his devoted supporters. Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc oloumo. I previously supported HE Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term on behalf of my Oshodi community because his administration continues to operate under the watchful eye of the party’s national leader. However, the situation has now changed and I must now adhere to Bola Ahmend Tinubu’s interests and the party’s decision.
“If Asiwaju Bola Ahmend Tinubu once more declares that Babajide Sanwoolu is no longer in office, then that is how it will be.”
