On Saturday, some Taraba State people praised the governor’s efforts to date in bringing the state forward and predicted that if continued, the state will experience significant growth.

Residents who spoke to our correspondent separately said that, among other things, the purchase of tractors for farmers, the proclamation of an emergency in the field of education, the enrollment of local government pensioners, and the 50% reduction in the College of Nursing and Midwifery’s tuition fees were all significant steps towards repositioning the state on the side of development.

The Ter-Tiv Taraba, Zaki David Gbaa, described the purchase of 750 new Global multi-purpose mini tractors and 100 sets of Cabrio compact tractors, accessories, tools, and spare parts for small and medium-scale farmers in Taraba state as a significant step towards the modernization of the state’s agriculture in a phone interview with our correspondent.

“The governor is off to a great start. The majority of us in Taraba are farmers, so the signing of an agreement with an international company, Knight A. S. from the Czech Republic, for the supply of 750 new global multi-purpose mini tractors and 100 sets of Cabrio compact tractors, accessories, tools, and spare parts for small and medium-scale farmers in the state is highly commendable.

“According to information we have received, the governor has directed the payment of ministries’ monthly operating expenses and has provided more than N71 million for the enrolment of all local government employees and teachers who had not yet signed up for the pension plan. The ministry will function more effectively as a result, and the feeling of abandonment among local government retirees will disappear.

Prince Gara Nongha, the state chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, stated in an interview with our correspondent that Governor Kefas has implemented mind-blowing reforms in nearly every sector of the state in the past month, giving the people renewed hope and confidence that a new Taraba is feasible.

“Through the employment of over 300 youngsters and women in the daily cleaning of the city, we have witnessed job creation. I applaud the designation of an emergency in the field of education.

“Today, our kids are pleased that they were not left behind as a result of the governor convening the kids, Economic, and Security Summit. The summit offered the youths a chance to display their talents and the difficulties they are facing, which the governor is prepared to address, he said.

Hon. Nashuka Ipeyen, a former head of the Donga local government, said that the governor’s hiring of more than 300 street cleaners had not only kept Jalingo’s capital city clean but also provided work for many people.

Ipeyen praised the governor for his order to stop unlawful mining operations and the indiscriminate tree-felling that was harming the environment. He also praised the governor for his decision to pay local government employees’ and teachers’ pensions.
